Founded in 2005, Alepia® truly took off in 2008, after my meeting with an exceptional man.
Hassan Harastani, a master soap maker specialising in fats and oils, and holder of a Master's degree in public health. That was the beginning of a great friendship built on a shared passion: Aleppo soap and natural products.
From then on, we combined tradition, authenticity and science with enthusiasm and delight. This allowed us to achieve the finest quality in our traditional soaps, to reach unmatched laurel oil percentages, and to develop our renowned premium range, along with shampoos, shower gels and creams.
Our aim has always been to create premium products that remain affordable.

Alepia® is a passionate and responsible company. Our approach is driven by respect for people and for the environment. Alepia® Aleppo soap is wholesome and made from ingredients of natural origin. It cares for your skin and protects the environment.

Alepia® Aleppo soap and cosmetics are formulated and tested under medical supervision.
Alepia® Aleppo soap and cosmetics are manufactured with respect for the environment; their packaging is minimal and recyclable. We select and buy our raw materials from local farmers in accordance with fair trade principles.
What is Aleppo soap made of?
Olive oil, laurel berry oil, water, and trace amounts of soda.
You should know that the vast majority of commercial soaps are made from tallow — that is, fat from cattle carcasses recovered in slaughterhouses.
Aleppo soap is 100% plant-based. It is made from olive oil and laurel berry oil, and contains no palm oil.
These noble oils are expensive, unlike palm oil, which is also plant-based but cheap.
What about palm oil?
Palm oil soaps are less gentle than olive oil Aleppo soaps and do not share their dermatological benefits.
Above all, palm cultivation comes at the expense of the Indonesian rainforest, home to the orangutan, now an endangered species.
Let us not be responsible for deforestation in Indonesia and, inevitably, for the disappearance of the orangutan.
This is why the finest soap of all time is Aleppo soap made purely from olive oil and laurel berry oil.
QUALITY CONTROLS
Alepia products are notified to the European CPNP portal (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal), in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products. They are subject to oversight by the ANSM (the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety), as well as to customs inspections on the arrival of each container at Le Havre, and to inspection by the DGCCRF (the French Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control).
